If you already have a blog, or create a popular blog, eventually you can offer advertising spots that people will pay good money for a weekly or monthly spot on your blog. Simply create standard pricing and spots, collect the money, and post the advertising, there are some extensions and plugins that work seamlessly and automatically for WordPress.
Adsense, Kontera, AdBrite, and others allow you to run advertisements on your website based on the keywords on your site. You get paid for clicks on the advertisements, not just for having the ad there. You can even end up having your own affiliate program for your information products as you develop a following. However, creating your own product takes often a lot of time and effort. You want to provide real value to your readers and you want to make it really unique so it is necessary to put in time and thoughts to create something really valuable. Still, nothing is more rewarding because you get in touch with people and you can improve your product further. Making money on your blog requires having a good amount of traffic, but nothing is more fun than seeing money going into your PayPal account while you’re sleeping. It can be done, and you can do it, if you just set your mind on it. Having several streams of income from your niche blog(s) can be your new job.
