Good Readings For Internet Marketers

Internet Marketing is very popular in the English speaking countries. There are 1000s of books available in English. You can get them as “real” books but also even more as eBooks. And some of them are really good. Personally, I love reading eBooks on my Kindle or iPad but I also have printed PDFs I bought so I could read them on the sofa. Here are some of my favorite books. I’ve chosen those books which helped me a lot when I started working online. I really hope you’ll enjoy them, too. I give you a short introduction and let you know what you find in these books.

The $100 Startup: Reinvent the Way You Make a Living

If you need any further motivation to start your online business, you’ll love this book. Chris Guillebeau is still in his early 30s and travels the world – working from where he loves to work. He never had a “real” job and makes as many others a living working online. In his book, he has identified 1,500 individuals earning $50,000 plus every year from an investment as small as $100. In nearly all cases these businessmen and women has no special skills but monetized their passion – and make a nice living from it today enjoying a richer and more fulfilled life. A really good read where you get the feeling: I can do that, too!

Problogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income

Darren Rowse started his blog as we all did – simply by writing and working hard on articles without knowing if that will ever lead to an income. Today he has not just Problogger.net but also digital-photography-school and he and his family can live very well from the money he makes. In his book, Problogger, he and Chris Garrett talk about the “Secrets” for Blogging your Way to a Six-Figure Income. In the book the guys help you to choose a topic, analyze the market, set up a blog and promote it. All in all you won’t find the big secrets – just plain business advice and that is what we actually need: People who have already archived what we want to archive giving honest advice. So this book is in my bookshelf and I look at it again and again. So this book is definitely an investment.

Moonlighting on the Internet: 5 World-Class Experts Reveal Proven Ways to Make Extra Cash

Yanik Silver is one of these guys who doesn’t claim that you can make millions on the Internet over night. But if you want to learn some proven ways to earn a few $100 extra – you are at the right place. Even Timothy Ferris, who wrote the 4-Hour-WorkWeek, loves Yanik’s book. It fits to his lifestyle: Making money with not too much effort once the system is set up and in place.

If you have a hobby,you wish you’d do all day, or an obsession, which keeps you up at night, it’s time for you to monetize it and make a living from what you love. Nobody ever said that we are not allowed to love our work. We all have grown up with pieces of wisdom in mind such as “Business before pleasure”. But hey, can’t our business be our pleasure? According to Gary Vaynerchuk it can. And yes, we couldn’t agree more.

A list of good readings wouldn’t be complete without the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which is still considered as one of the most famous financial books ever. Hill researched more than 40 millionaires and figured what made them rich. This book has already changed many lives and it will change yours as well.
